Tenth offers a complementary blend of Bible instruction, memory work, worship preparation and music training every Sunday for children in grades 1-6. Each hour provides a useful building block for their understanding of the gospel and their discipleship, along with opportunities to meet new friends. Attending these programs will increase your child’s opportunity to grow both spiritually and socially.
9 AM: Bible School in Catacombs
This is an age-graded program that systematically covers the Biblical account from the perspective of history, doctrine, and Christian living. Memory work is an important feature too as children commit major passages of the Bible to memory. Children earn camp awards for completing their memory work in both Bible and Catechism.
11 AM: Worship or Praisemakers Plus in B1 room
Children can worship with their families, which is one of the real benefits of being a covenant child! However, for children in 1st and 2nd grades who would benefit from instruction about worship, Praisemakers Plus takes them through each part of the worship service and explains it to them. To attend, children leave the service during the hymn before the offering. A snack and craft are also provided.
6:10 PM: Tenth Children’s Music (TCM) – 315 S. 17th Street
Tenth Children’s Music is a program for children in grades 1-6. Each Sunday evening, the children meet for choir rehearsal, optional string ensemble, bell choir, and hymnody. There is also a hymn memory program with prizes for those who complete the course. A snack is also provided.
